77 percent of respondents wanted SunSecure on the beach, most of them asked why it did not already exist.

The research results shows that hotels must do more to enhance the role of security with a big ‘S’, focusing on the broader activity of security across the hotel’s functions. It is the extra peace of mind that really makes a stay unique and keep guests coming back.

"In this context it becomes critical to understand the role of safety, by which we mean the broader concept or ‘peace of mind’...
’Safety’ as a concept: A concept or philosophy of customer orientation which must provide a focal point for a hotel's total activity, at all levels in all functions."

These days its not simply enough to have safety in the rooms. More and people take their personal belongings such as mobiles phones and cameras with them wherever they go. -Yes even on holiday.

Incident do happen and it usually spreads very fast to the rest of the guests. People talk to each other on holiday. It is those hotels that overcome this behavioral disconnect who join up and ‘understand’ with ‘practice’ who will gain the competitive advantage in this fast-changing tourist destination world.

SunLocker - A Hoteliers view

Even those holidaying on a budget will jump at the chance to be safe and relaxed for such a small charge, in any event, how can you put a price on peace of mind!

Package tourists can often prove the most demanding holiday makers of all hotel guests. They holiday on a budget and rightly expect their vacation experience to be memorable for all the right reasons. Comfortable rooms with good views, plentiful food and an all inclusive tariff. Entertainment and facilities for all the family, in fact, everything required to provide a relaxing and pleasurable holiday.

The vast majority of resort hotels and venues rely on the package tour industry for the bulk of their revenue and occupancy. Anything that risks the hotel reputation or a guest’s relaxed stay is potentially damaging to the hotel reputation. One major area of concern is theft of a guest’s possessions, be that from their room, or from the pool and beach area where valuables are frequently left under the minimal gaze of the pool or beach attendant, or lifeguard.

Now there is a product available to the hotel and leisure industry, in fact any venue where it is common for people to leave valuables unsecured because of a lack of alternatives. The product is called SunLocker and it is a unique and novel safe, come umbrella stand, come occasional table all in one. For a small rental fee, normally about the price of a drink, a renter can have full use of this personal safe and is issued with a unique key that can be secured by its rubber bracelet round the wrist or ankle, completely safe to swim or relax whilst wearing.

"Even those holidaying on a budget will jump at the chance to be safe and relaxed for such a small charge, in any event, how can you put a price on peace of mind!"

From the hotel viewpoint, what a great customer service SunSecure is, at the same time serving as an additional revenue generator, producing substantial profits almost from month one.

Look outside the tourism venues and consider as equally important, the business guest, for whom the loss of a mobile phone or wallet, could prove disastrous. All those lost contact numbers with no hard copy – most will say they had been meaning to do that for ages, but somehow never quite got around to it – too late once it has been stolen. That quick swim before breakfast could cost a business deal if the phone with the client’s number is stolen.

SunLocker can give everyone complete peace of mind in the knowledge that personal possessions and valuables are locked safely away.

ZL USA’s President Omar Nasserziayee and CEO Phuc Vu discuss their innovative product’s launch at this year’s International Hotel/Motel & Restaurant Show.

Imagine relaxing pool or beach side at your favorite resort. You have your camera, wallet, phone, and keys with you and are enjoying the pleasant weather, taking in the sun, and sipping on your favorite blended beverage. You decide to get up and go for a walk, or jump in the water for a quick dip, but where should you stow your valuables? Under a towel? Inside a shoe?

SunSecure units solve this conundrum. Their unique product is the first of its kind to address pool/beach side security. A solidly built table with an integrated umbrella base hides one key feature, a lockable safe.

ZL USA’s president Omar Nasserziayee says, “honestly, it just seems like such a no-brainer I can’t believe no one has ever thought of it.”

I can’t tell you how many times I have been in Mexico or Las Vegas and experienced this very issue

Already wildly popular in Europe, SunSecure decided to enter the North American market through a partnership contract with ZL USA, their exclusive North American distributor. “We expect our product (ZLK-20) to be a big hit in the North and Central American market,” CEO Phuc Vu states, “IH/MRS will be a great launching point for us. We view it as an opportunity to not only introduce our product to the hospitality industry, but also to network and make connections with executives and decision makers.”

The units themselves range from fiber glass shells with integrated cup holders (ZLK-10), to luxurious models that incorporate materials, like teak and stainless steel, with modern, clean design (ZLK-20). SunSecure AB and ZL USA seek to remain at the forefront of resort security and plan on continually adding new models and features. “The bottom line here is the idea of allowing people to truly enjoy their vacations while ensuring that their valuables are safe and secure, yet also conveniently close by,” Mr. Nasserziayee says.

"SunSecure takes all the worries of having items out in the open and allows guests to relax, have fun, and enjoy their vacations."
