77 percent of respondents wanted SunSecure on the beach, most of them asked why it did not already exist.

The research results shows that hotels must do more to enhance the role of security with a big ‘S’, focusing on the broader activity of security across the hotel’s functions. It is the extra peace of mind that really makes a stay unique and keep guests coming back.

"In this context it becomes critical to understand the role of safety, by which we mean the broader concept or ‘peace of mind’...
’Safety’ as a concept: A concept or philosophy of customer orientation which must provide a focal point for a hotel's total activity, at all levels in all functions."

These days its not simply enough to have safety in the rooms. More and people take their personal belongings such as mobiles phones and cameras with them wherever they go. -Yes even on holiday.

Incident do happen and it usually spreads very fast to the rest of the guests. People talk to each other on holiday. It is those hotels that overcome this behavioral disconnect who join up and ‘understand’ with ‘practice’ who will gain the competitive advantage in this fast-changing tourist destination world.
